River Murray Queen Mooring Facility, Loxton

Murray Queen Mooring Facility

Engineering design for the new mooring site for the River Murray Queen tourist vessel at Loxton, from concept and stakeholder consultation through to detailed design and construction supervision, with mooring piles and a DDA compliant walkway.

Magryn is proud to have delivered the engineering design for the new River Murray Queen tourist vessel mooring site in Loxton. This project showcased our expertise in maritime design, from early concept development and stakeholder consultation through to detailed design and construction supervision.

The facility features robust mooring piles and a fixed, DDA-compliant walkway leading to an articulated truss gangway that adjusts with river levels, ensuring safe and convenient access to the vessel.

It’s fantastic to see the completed structure, recently constructed by Goolwa Jetty Builders, now in use, with the iconic River Murray Queen securely moored and ready to welcome visitors.

Projects like these highlight the importance of collaboration and innovative design in delivering practical, enduring solutions for South Australia’s waterways.
