Yorke Peninsula Sand management plans

Magryn were engaged by Yorke Peninsula Council to develop sand management plans for the boat ramps at Port Victoria, Point Turton and Balgowan. The access channels at these facilities were problematic, as longshore sand drift would result in sand accretion in the channel. Magryn produced comprehensive sand management plans allowing routine dredging to be planned for accordingly and the facilities to remain operational.

In essence, Magryn’s expertise in developing effective sand management plans would have contributed to the overall operational efficiency and longevity of the facilities, allowing the Council to anticipate and address sand-related issues in a timely manner. This proactive approach is essential for maintaining safe and accessible boat ramps for the benefit of the local community and visitors.
